Hand and Foot Reflexology
What happens at a Treatment?
You will be seated comfortably in a relaxing Lafuma recliner chair and asked to choose what medium (oil, balm, wax or powder) you would prefer me to use or that is suitable for you, from a range that I have available to me. I will then apply gentle but firm pressure to reflex points on your feet and lower leg (hands and lower arms if you are having hand reflexology).
In my experience most clients feel relaxed during the treatment and some have even fallen asleep! Some clients may find certain reflexes are sensitive and in these cases I will reduce the pressure so that it is more comfortable for them. I will also work on any reflexes that need rebalancing more than others and tailor the treatment to your needs.
Your medical history will be taken and I will ask you about your diet and lifestyle.
How Many Treatments should I have?
This will vary depending on how you respond to the treatment and the severity of your condition. You may choose a weekly treatment to begin with, until a consistent improvement is achieved, then moving on to fortnightly and then to monthly treatments. You may also choose to come on a regular basis to maintain good health.
How long will a Treatment take?
You will need to allow 75 minutes for the initial treatment as a medical history is taken whereas follow up sessions last for 60 minutes. For foot reflexology treatments I provide a warm, soothing foot spa, but if you have any open cuts then this may not be able to be experienced.
What happens next?
Feedback will be given to you concerning any areas that have been sensitive and if appropriate, lifestyle suggestions will be made.
A treatment plan can also be agreed upon which is tailored to you specific condition and/or requirements and I will also hand you an aftercare leaflet to help you get the most out of your treatment. All information is kept confidential and will be locked away securely.
